Hi! My name is Arianna Marrero and ​I am the creator of by ari. I was born and raised in the little island of Puerto Rico and moved to NYC at 9 years old. My first introduction to art began when I was just 6 years old and I told my parents that I wanted to take art classes. I took art classes from when I was 6-8 years old and immediately knew I belonged in a creative setting for whatever I was meant to do. I learned all the basics there was to know about painting and even had the opportunity to showcase some of my paintings at 7 years old in the Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. At 8 years old, I began a new creative journey by deciding that I wanted to take dance classes. While I wasn't taking art classes anymore, I continued to draw, sketch, and paint on my own time.

A year later, we moved to NYC and I decided to continue dancing and have never stopped since. During the ages of 12-14, I got back into art classes during my time in school. By this time, my skills had continued to improve for I never stopped creating and I was able to retain an immense amount of information and skills. When it was time to start my High School journey, I attended a Performing Arts High School as a dance major where I was constantly surrounded by artists. Throughout all of those years, I went through countless amounts of sketchbooks and journals filled with my art as I continued to study dance. Around my sophomore year of High School, I found a passion for the way our style can express our inner worlds and talked about how one day I would want to create my own brand of clothing and accessories. Something I have always known is that art is the ultimate way that I am able to express myself and feel free.

As 2020 hit us as a society, I used my quarantined time to get back into painting. Later that same year, I began my college journey as I attended Adelphi University as a Business Management major while continuing to pursue dance outside of school. Within those years, I started to hand-paint canvas tote bags and had the opportunity to sell them and have sold over 30 tote bags. At the same time, I continued to enrich myself with knowledge on business management while also taking classes that allowed me to graduate with a Bachelors in Management and a Marketing Specialization. I also got to work for Adelphi University as a Social Media team member where I continued to gain skills on the balance of creativity, business, and marketing.

I am now a college graduate and professional dancer who loves to surround herself with all things art and creative. My art is a part of my heART and soul and it would be incredible to be able to share a piece of that with you. Thank you for being here!​
